Online learning at the Norfolk Painting School

My journey in oils began when my husband bought me a course for Christmas at the Norfolk Painting School called ‘Simply Oils’. What a revelation it was! I had always had a curiosity about oils and often used to go into my local art shop to look at the tubes of paint and wish I had the confidence to get started.

So in March 2019 I drove up to Norfolk to attend my first course! The course took me through all the basic techniques from gesso/ground, mediums and how to apply the paint, its simply everything I needed to know to get started! Although I attended in person the school has now created a full range of course for beginner, intermediate and advanced students. I came home after the course completely buzzing and couldn’t wait to get started.

I was therefore extremely delighted for the Norfolk painting School celebrated my ‘Best Oil’ award at the ‘Under the Rainbow’ Exhibition at Bluewater with a blog post. Thank you so much Martin and Jane!
